If you feel LED matrix on micro:bit is small enough to display any status, you can consider to use I2C LCD.

- BX-4112 Round Hole Bread Board
- I2C 1602 Serial LCD for Arduino & RPI
- BreadBoard Power Stick 5V 3V3
- Adapter 12V 1A (UK Plug)
- Male to Female Jumper Wire
- Female to Female Jumper Wire
