The Winners of MU War Of STEM 2023

The first robotics competition, MU WAR of STEM 2023, organized for junior schools, successfully took place at the National Science Museum from 27th to 29th May 2023.

A total of 32 teams from schools all over Thailand participated in this competition. The objective of the event was to encourage students to develop STEM skills through robotics and coding, creating a STEM learning environment through robotics competitions, and increasing the experience of our students. We aimed to inspire the new generation to practice coding skills, teamwork, and creativity in order to stay competitive in the modern world.

Organized by the Institute of Learning Innovation at Mahidol University, in collaboration with the National Science Museum Organization (NSM), the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management (iNT) at Mahidol University, Cytron Technologies, and Nakamoto Games, the competition achieved its objective not only in terms of technical skills but also in fostering networking and friendship among the participants and teachers.

During the competition, the participants had to complete two missions. They were provided with all the necessary materials and had to build their robots on the spot within the allocated time.

On the first day, the mission was to create a boxing robot. Each team had to build a remote-controlled mobile robot attached to a balloon. The objective was to attack the opponent's robot by popping their balloon while protecting their own balloon from attacks. It was an incredibly exciting game, and all the students were enthusiastic and had a lot of fun!

On the second day, the participants had to build a new robot to compete in the second mission called "REKA Math It Out." In this game, students had to design a robot that could follow black lines and collect number badges (attached on top of blue cylinders) to create mathematical equations. This mission challenged the participants' teamwork and resilience skills.
