MakerDisk 32GB Preloaded Offline MakeCode & Raspberry Pi OS

Note: This MakerDisk microSD card is pre-loaded with Raspberry Pi OS and ready to boot up on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (with the latest bootloader firmware). Please DO NOT format it if you intend to use it with the Raspberry Pi board.

This microSD card can be used with Raspberry Pi right out of the box! It comes pre-loaded with MakeCode offline editor, so you can get started with your project's programming as soon as possible. MakeCode offline editor can be used to program any micro:bit boards.

Once you boot up the Raspberry Pi, you can see an icon named "microbit" on the Desktop. This is your micro:bit MakeCode editor. Open it by double click and you can choose to proceed with the offline MakeCode editor, or the browser-based MakeCode editor, which will require internet access.

You can use all of the MakeCode editor features within this offline editor, without any internet connection!

This offline MakeCode editor is also pre-installed with 18 common extensions. So now you are able to use the MakeCode editor, and some extensions, without any internet connection!

The extensions come in the form of a hex file. You can access the extension files folder in the Download directory of your Raspberry Pi OS. Unzip it, and import it into the MakeCode offline editor. The image below shows how to import the extension hex file into the offline MakeCode editor.
