Note: If you are a beginner or student, please take a look at Maker UNO, designed especially for beginner and it is Arduino UNO compatible.

Everyone like Arduino, especially Arduino UNO. This is Cytron version of Arduino UNO R3, we called it CT-UNO!!

Note: Check out the Starter Kit for Cytron UNO which includes everything for you to get started with Arduino.

We love the FTDI (USB to UART chip) on Arduino Duemilanove, and like the program loading of Optiboot on UNO R3 (faster loading time), so we combine both features and added some improvements onto CT-UNO. It is compatible with Arduino UNO from Arduino IDE and Shield point of view.

Besides, we know many are using Android phone which comes with USB micro-B cable (power bank also require micro-B to charge), therefore, to lower down the cost needed for users to get started, we populate the USB micro-B socket for USB connection! The program can be loaded to Arduino UNO by utilizing your Android phone USB cable. Select "Arduino UNO" from the board and choose the correct COM port, you are ready to upload the code. If you do not have the Micro-B USB cable, please get it as it is sold separately.

CT-UNO has all the amazing features Arduino UNO offer. 14 Digital I/O pins with 6 PWM pins, 6 Analog inputs, UART, SPI, external interrupts, not to forget the I2C too. The SDA, SCL and IOREF pins which being broken out on UNO R3 are on CT-UNO too. We has also populated the ISP header pins (SPI and power). With this, CT-UNO will be compatible with all Arduino UNO shield.

We have enhanced the power section of CT-UNO. You can still power the CT-UNO via the DC jack, from DC7V to 15V. We have upgraded the onboard voltage regulator which has the capability to output higher current :) Of course you can always power it using the USB cable too.

We have also moved the LEDs to the edge (near USB socket) for better observation, especially when there is a shield on CT-UNO.

Oh, did I mentioned? We have also added extra standard pads (2.54mm pitch to pitch) for those wanted to create your own shield :)

Features:

  • SMD ATmega328P microcontroller with Optiboot (UNO R3) Bootloader
  • USB Programming facilitated by the Ubiquitous FTDI FT231X (more stable)
  • Input voltage: DC7-15V
  • 1A (maximum) 5V voltage regulator
  • 500mA (maximum) 3.3V voltage regulator
  • 0-5V outputs with 3.3V compatible inputs
  • 14 Digital I/O Pins (6 PWM outputs)
  • 6 Analog Inputs
  • ISP 6-pin Header
  • 32KByte Flash Memory
  • SRAM: 2KByte
  • EEPROM: 1KByte
  • 16MHz Clock Speed
  • R3 Shield Compatible
  • TX, RX, Power, pin 13 LEDs are moved to the edge
  • Utilize USB Micro-B socket
  • White PCB!

Hi, may I know the threshold of receiving signal ? Is it same with the original Arduino?
( GOH QI LUN , 01/05/2020 )
Hi, yes they are the same. Thanks :)
Previously CT UNO board working correctly but this late 2 weeks keep having problem to upload the code. This is the error avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x8c avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding can you help me solve this problem? ( In'amullah, 14/05/2016 )

Hi. You can contact our support team at support@cytron.com.my with the few photos of error that you get, hardware setup, device manager showing the COM port and other necessaries information for the support team to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks. :)

Hi, i just bought the ct uno, can the ct uno supplied with a liPo battery (6000mah,7.4V). Does it can cause any effect or damage to the ct uno? thank you. ( Amir Azril, 15/04/2016 )

Yup, that is with the Vin supplying range. Vin can accept 7 to 15V. Do make sure the polarity is correct and you connect it to Vin.

My laptop cant detect the CT-UNO even after i installed the driver. ( Ch khuan, 19/11/2015 )

Which driver did you installed? Can printscreen the device manager and send to our support@cytron.com,my?

Hi, when i first time connect CT-UNO board, the LED light alrady blinking. It is normal. Plus, though I installed the driver edy, my PC still cannt detect the device. Any advice on this? ( noob, 07/09/2015 )

Hi, Can you contact support team at support@cytron.com.my with details of operating system (windows, Linux and etc), processor of the laptop/pc that you used. Thanks.

can i use 12v-13v 2amp for ct uno? ( hare kumar, 01/08/2015 )

Why not? The recommended voltage range is 7V to 15V.

Does the CT Uno have a safety feature if per say the current drawn is too much or a short happend?? ( Anas, 24/06/2015 )

There is a resetable fuse for current protection on USB power. The rest is similar to Arduino UNO. Even that can only protect the short in case it is powered from USB. If you are powering up from adapter, the voltage regulator should have thermal protection. However, a short at microcontroller pin will still damage the microcontroller, it might be the single pin, worst the whole microcontroller. Anyway, we seldom see this as Arduino is quite robust.

Dear Cytron, I like the CT-UNO board but From the feedback from the Customers, i realise that the micro-B port is very fragile and now i doubt the quality.. Is there any warranty if the micro-b port is broken? How long is the warranty for this CT-UNO Board? ( Williams, 05/05/2015 )

Hi, thanks for the feedback. As stated in the reply to the other feedbacks, we have actually improved the micro-B socket by modifying the PCB and change better micro-B socket. We do have warranty for CT-UNO, please contact our technical team at support@cytron.com.my. They will follow up with you :)

Dear Cytron, I like CT-UNO, new design and everything. However same with previous comment, the microUSB is very fragile. My microUSB was broken due to frequently plug & unplug. Here is the picture, http://postimg.org/image/qqscz2v79/ My project haven't complete and now i could not upload my program anymore. Maybe add some cover to protect ? Or change to mini USB? Thank you. ( Ong, 04/05/2015 )

Hi, thanks for supporting CT-UNO and feedback, we have improved the CT-UNO's microB socket. Currently it is very strong. You can contact our technical team at support@cytron.com.my, they will help you.

It's a comment. This product is using microUSB, and it is very fragile. There are tons of cases already which involves the USB pin break from the board. Please, change it to at least using miniUSB instead. There are too many victims already. Even you have improved the microB connector, the USB port still break. I suggest you to use mini USB like arduino NANO, its more reliable and strong. I dont want it to happen again for second times ( carls, 16/03/2015 )

Hi, thanks for the feedback, you can contact our support@cytron.com.my. We have actually improved the microB connector. Thanks for the feedback.
