3.7V Two Cell 18650 Li-ion Rechargeable Battery with Wire

Note: This is not an A, AA, or AAA type of battery; it's specifically an 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery with a rated voltage of 3.7V. Hence, please note that this battery cannot be used with micro:bit mainboard.

This is a two-cell 18650 battery with a total capacity of 4400mAh. It is Lithium-Ion based and rechargeable battery in a cylindrical shape. 18650 battery has become very popular nowadays, many power banks use it as storage(when being charged) and power source (when being discharged). Even electrical vehicles like Tesla uses 18650 batteries particularly to build their battery pack. 

Since this two-cell battery has higher voltage and capacity, rechargeable; it is a very economical solution for portable electronic or robotic projects. In some cases, this battery has been used for IoT devices powered by Solar or renewable energy. It also comes with a wire connector so that you can directly connect the battery to your microcontroller board.

• Norminal Voltage: 3.7V (fully charged at 4.2V)
• Minimum discharge voltage: 3.0V, lower is possible but it will shorten the lifespan and reduce the capacity.

  • Standard Charge: 0.2C, ~400mA
• Charging Voltage: 4.2V ± 0.03V

  • Standard discharge: 0.2C, 400mA, down to 3.0V
• 18650 size: 18.5mm diameter and 65.2mm length
