Cytron 10A Motor Driver Shield (Arduino)"SHIELD-MD10" is a compatible Arduino motor shield for controlling high current brushed DC motor up to 10A continuously. It should be stacked on to an Arduino main controller board such as Arduino UNO R3. It is compatible with:
This Motor Driver shield uses full solid state components which results in faster response time and eliminates the wear and tear of the mechanical relay. It has stackable side headers which allows for more Arduino shields to be stacked on top of it. Each shield comes with two mini jumpers for you to select different digital pin for PWM (speed) and DIR (direction), so you can actually stack more shield together.
Note: Starting from July 2015, all Cytron 10A Motor Driver Shield (Shield-MD10) shipped from Cytron are Rev2.0. There is an improvement mad. The label changes at the front and back of the shield like shown in the figure.

Ranges of motor voltage supported 7V- 25V 7V-30V
  • Bi-directional control for 1 brushed DC motor.
  • Support motor voltage ranges from 7V to 25V (Rev1.0), 7V to 30V (Rev2.0).
  • Maximum current up to 10A continuous and 15A peak (10 seconds).
  • 3.3V and 5V logic level input.
  • Solid state components provide faster response time and eliminate the wear and tear of mechanical relay.
  • Fully NMOS H-Bridge for better efficiency and no heat sink is required.
  • Regenerative Braking.
  • Speed control PWM frequency up to 10KHz.
  • Stackable I/O header pin.
  • Selectable digital pins for PWM and DIR.

Can I use 6 D Cell Batteries in Series as a power input? (equates to about 9 volts-wire/internal resistance), it should still be above 7 volts, would this suffice for the minimum voltage? ( Rodney, 09/05/2020 )
Hi, yes it can be used. Thanks :)
Use for 250 watt motor? ( Asyif, 04/03/2020 )
Hi, it is measure using ampere. If 12V, 250 watt, the current is 20 ampere. Therefore, it cannot be used. Thanks :)
Can we increse the PWM frequency ? ( Ashley, 14/10/2019 )
Hi! Yes, you can increase the PWM. PWM duty cycle 0-255. Thanks :)
Possible to connect external switch in directly?? ( Abhishek, 29/07/2019 )
Sorry, you can't connect the external switch directly
can we connect external switch? ( Abhishek, 25/07/2019 )
You can't connect the external switch directly to this board.
does it have a built in digital to analog converter? like, does it output a PWN or continuous voltage? ( none, 23/07/2019 )
Hi, the output is PWM
How to set the frequency of motor driver Shield? ( Ishan, 22/07/2019 )
Hi, you can't change the frequency of the motor driver.
Schematic diagram of this board is available ? ( Alvin, 08/06/2019 )
Hi, sorry it is not available for release.
Any plan for a 2 channel shield version? ( Andy Goh, 07/04/2019 )
Hi, for now we don't have any plan yet.
Can I use the battery of motorcycle to power up this board to control power window motor? ( Ypfong, 20/03/2019 )

Hi, if your battery is between 7V-12V then you can use it with power window :)
